With record breaking exhibitor numbers and stand areas confirmed before the trade fair had even started, hopes were already high for the largest A+A of all time. And following four successful days, visitor numbers were higher than ever before in the fair’s history. A grand total of 60,100 trade visitors passed through the doors to see over 1,600 exhibitors, who revealed product innovations and the latest trends in industrial safety and protection and occupational health. As well as increasing visitor numbers by almost 8% on A+A 2009, the trade fair has become even more international with one in four visitors travelling from abroad. “A+A has once again proven that it is the world’s most important safety fair,” commented Stefan Brück, CEO of the uvex safety group. “No other industry event provides us with such an optimal environment for promoting uvex as a leader of innovation and technology at both national and international level.”

“Experience Innovation” has been the slogan since 2005 and based on this principle, the uvex safety group appeared with a new, modern stand concept on 750 square metres of exhibition space. It was the largest stand at the fair, standing out with its almost entirely white design and illumination achieved using many spotlights. For uvex, the core focus at A+A was to introduce the new uvex 3D product system, which exhibits impressive ergonomics and optimum adaptability. The centre piece of the trade fair stand was the “Techno Tube”, a technology and innovation park displaying the most striking innovations in all product areas on nine different stations. The most important product properties and features were explained on the high-quality display columns using short animations and film clips. These included an “Augmented Reality” application of the new uvex i-3 safety spectacles. A 3 metre cube placed at the end of the innovation tunnel showed the new film on the uvex 3D product system.
