Alongside the standard uvex pheos model, the uvex pheos range has been expanded with the uvex pheos s model, a smaller version for narrow faces, and uvex pheos blue, an environmentally friendly pair of safety spectacles manufactured using natural raw materials. uvex pheos blue are highly functional safety glasses with a “green design” – all the materials are made up of environmentally-friendly bioplastics sourced from raw plant materials. Their functionality is in no way compromised as a result: uvex pheos blue are a top-quality pair of safety spectacles that fulfil all safety and comfort demands while at the same time protecting the environment.

In addition, all the uvex pheos models share the same qualities. The most important of these is the duo-spherical lenses, that provide not only a wide field of vision, but also protect the eyes at the front and sides. Additional “eye plus” protection is provided at the upper edge by an integral brow guard. The perfectly calculated optical axis ensures excellent vision, without tiring the eyes. The supravision HC-AF flood coating technology makes uvex pheos lenses highly scratch-resistant on the outside and permanently anti-fog coated on the inside. The spectacles also provide 100% UV protection. 

Their fashionable design is apparent in their two-tone, highly functional side arms. The ear pieces created using innovative hard/soft technology ensure optimum wearer comfort and non-slip components guarantee a secure fit. In addition, there is a special slot in the ear pieces for attaching a hang cord to the spectacles. On the basis of uvex climazone technology, the side arms feature an exceptional ventilation concept which helps to provide a comfortable climate around the eye. The metal-free hinges fold effortlessly and consistently smooth movement of the side arms is guaranteed through the use of innovative materials.

uvex pheos is particularly suitable for areas of application including grinding, turning, milling, light and precision engineering, laboratory and outdoor work. They fulfil European standards DIN EN 166, 170 and 172 (sun protection) and standards ANSI, Z87, CSA and AS/NZS 1337. The safety spectacles are available in 5 side arm colour combinations and in three different lens colours.
