DFR

Design for Recycling (DFR) is a strategy in which companies adjust their products and processes to make recycling and reusing materials easier. Purposeful material and design choices focus on using as few, easily separable components as possible to ensure a high recycling rate and effective reuse.

At uvex

Many of our helmet models, including the uvex pronamic, are developed according to the principle of ‘design for recycling’. The pronamic can be easily dismantled into a helmet shell and head ring. Thanks to the high-quality monomaterial helmet shell, resource-saving recycling is optimally possible. Together with selected customers and partners, we are already actively promoting initial projects for the circular economy.
