The German Sustainability Award (DNP) is one of the most prestigious awards for sustainability. Topics such as climate protection, resource efficiency, social justice and transparent supply chains are in focus. The industry-specific assessment takes into account ecological and social aspects throughout the entire value chain. Receiving an award from the DNP not only recognises what has already been achieved, but also incentivises the consistent promotion and implementation of sustainability.
At uvex
In 2026, the uvex group was awarded the German Sustainability Award in the plastics and rubber industry category – a significant achievement that underscores our comprehensive commitment to sustainability.
Our approach to the circular economy was particularly highlighted: with products such as compostable workwear, helmets that can be dismantled by type and spectacle frames made from recycled fishing nets, uvex demonstrates what resource-saving material use looks like in practice.
The German Sustainability Award confirms the strategic course of the uvex group: sustainability is an integral part of the company’s objectives with its four focus areas of ecological transformation, social responsibility, circular economy as a driver of innovation, and ecological and health safety –in line with the guiding principle of ‘protecting people’.
