Sustainability in focus

100% recyclable, around 50% fewer CO2 emissions in production: The new uvex pure-fit safety spectacles, which will be presented for the first time at A+A 2021 in Düsseldorf, are particularly sustainable. The basis for this is the innovative production technique using one material to produce a single, seamless piece - and stowed in environmentally friendling packaging.

protecting people – uvex's guiding principle also stands for sustainable environmental protection. This was consistently implemented throughout the development of the new uvex pure-fit safety spectacles. Since the high-quality safety spectacles are made only of pure polycarbonate, they can be produced in an innovative manufacturing process on just one injection moulding machine. The CO2 output in production can therefore be reduced by around 50%.

Further CO2 emissions are saved in logistics, as the uvex pure-fit is packed directly at the production plant and assembly is not necessary. Thanks to their unique single-material design, the safety spectacles – just like their packaging – are 100% recyclable.

These high-quality safety spectacles impress with their entry-level price and same "Made in Germany" high quality as always from uvex: The 19 gram uvex pure-fit with extended sideshield and UV400 technology offer maximum protection with minimum weight. The integrated flexible arms provide a good hold and adapt ergonomically to any head shape – for a comfortable feel even during long periods of wear.

For demanding applications, the uvex pure-fit is equipped with the proven uvex supravision excellence coating: Extremely scratch-resistant on the outside and permanently anti-fog inside. There is an uncoated version for areas where this is not absolutely necessary (e.g. visitor glasses or single use in the medical sector).

The company from Fürth is also taking a new approach to packaging the uvex pure-fit: Thanks to optimised packaging units, directly printed labels and more compact operating instructions, the amount of packaging materials has been reduced by more than half.
