You won’t find a more robust shoe: the uvex 3 MACSOLE® BOA® safety shoe from German PPE manufacturer uvex safety is in its element when things get tough. This heavy-duty all-rounder features a range of technologies to ensure durability and comfort.
Uneven terrain, extreme weather conditions, chemical and mechanical influences… the tougher the work environment, the higher the requirements placed on the personal protective equipment. Such environments require safety shoes not only to offer protection but also robustness, stability and comfort. “Tough work. Easy going.” — this is how uvex safety describes the uvex 3 MACSOLE® BOA® boot. It’s hard to see how this new highlight of the footwear range from the internationally operating Franconian PPE manufacturer could be more robust.
The MACSOLE® rubber outsole is particularly resistant to heat, chemicals and cuts. The technology employed in the sole boasts unrivalled slip resistance, providing a firm grip on extremely hot and cold surfaces. The uvex waterstop outer shoe material is four times more water repellent than required by the standard and remains dry for long periods when working in wet environments. The uvex climazone technology with breathable textile lining makes the boot pleasant to wear. Reflective elements improve visibility, while uvex anklepro provides shock absorption in the ankle area.
The range of technologies employed not only covers safety but promotes shoe comfort as well. The sustainable uvex i-PUREnrj planet midsole improves endurance through shock absorption and energy return, while the ergonomic uvex bionom x design supports natural movement through the optimised interaction between the shoes, the body and the ground. Despite their suitability for tough applications, the manufacturer has remained mindful of the weight of this safety boot: the special geometric structure between the tread blocks on the outsole reduces the weight by up to 20%.
The uvex 3 MACSOLE® BOA® also scores highly when it comes to sustainability. Around a third of the outsole is made from recycled rubber, the midsole contains granulate from the boot’s own production surplus and the proportion of recycled material in the comfortable insole is an impressive 72%.
The BOA® Fit System with handy twist lock ensures a precision fit that is quick and easy to adjust with one hand. This robust all-rounder is available in sizes 36 to 52 and in three different widths: 10, 11 and 12. Safety at work for every person. Sizes 36 to 40 have been produced using a woman’s last.
