Banded earplugs – the extra light and comfortable earplug hearing protection
Do you suffer from excessive noise exposure at work, which can manifest itself in physical complaints? Then it's high time for effective hearing protection to reduce exposure to noise and avoid long-term damage to your hearing. The banded earplugs from uvex are an ergonomic and lightweight form of hearing protection. Here you can find out all the important key data about the practical hearing protection.
What distinguishes earband hearing protection compared to earplugs and earmuffs?
Earplugs with temples are comparable to normal earplugs in terms of their mode of action: they fill the ear canal and attenuate the sound waves that reach the inner ear. How much noise they intercept can be seen from the insulation value (given in decibels).
Some earplugs are also connected to a band so that they cannot be lost. In this respect, our earplugs with free-floating headband offer the advantage that they are easier to put on and take off and have a compact shape. The extra-light headband weighs only eight grams and does not cause any chafing noises, as it hangs freely under the chin.
Earmuff models with headband and soft ear pads shield the ear from noise pollution from the outside, so that the majority of the sound waves do not reach the ear at all. Which model you choose is at your individual discretion.
