Environmentally friendly products, production facilities and processes are an integral part of our mission. This page provides an overview of the standards that the uvex safety group complies with and the certifications that we hold.
ISO 50001 – Energy management systems
Our ISO 50001 certification confirms that we implement and apply an energy management system within our company. The uvex group uses an established energy management system to improve its energy footprint and reduce CO2 emissions. This standard also requires uvex to demonstrate – from the very first audit – that the company is continually improving its energy efficiency performance.

Fully TCFD aligned, CDP holds the largest environmental database in the world, and CDP scores are widely used to drive investment and procurement decisions towards a zero carbon, sustainable and resilient economy. Science Based Targets Initiative
The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) promotes scientifically based targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from companies in order to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C if possible. The initiative supports and monitors companies in their compliance with the emission reduction targets they have set. At uvex, we have set ourselves the goal of reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions across the group by 42% by 2030 (FY 22/23 as the base year). Absolute Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream and downstream transportation and distribution and end-of-life treatment of sold products are also to be reduced by 25% over the same period. In 2025, we received validation of our targets from the SBTi. This validation underlines that the uvex group's climate targets are ambitious and in line with the Paris Climate Agreement.
