Hard work. Easy going.
The new uvex 3 — safety and comfort made easy.
Following the motto "Hard work. Easy going" uvex is presenting one of its new highlights at the upcoming A+A in Düsseldorf – the uvex 3. Developed for the extreme demands faced in harsh environments. It combines the necessary robustness with a dynamic, casual design and the latest uvex technologies. The new uvex 3 therefore combines safety and comfort with ease of use.
Two years ago, the uvex i-PUREnrj set an example in the field of sole technology. The innovative polyurethane sole technology uvex i-PUREnrj returns the impact force across the sole back to the wearer, redefining shock absorption and stability. The sole of the uvex 3 features a special anti-fatigue effect thanks to 68% energy return in the forefoot, 65% energy return under the heel and the high shock absorption level of 44 joules.
Furthermore, the sole provides an extraordinary level of sensitivity, which is especially important when operating foot-controlled machines. High sensitivity and sole flexibility are of particular importance in these working situations. Thanks to the special uvex waterstop technology, the new uvex 3 has values four times higher than those specified by water penetration and absorption testing, and also provides exceptionally good slip resistance, even on wet surfaces.
uvex has always been committed to innovation and the latest scientific and research findings. This guiding idea has resulted in a new philosophy for viewing and thinking about footwear – uvex bionom x. The uvex bionom x principle is a structured approach to creating new products that combines the essential biomechanical functions of the body with the functions of the footwear, thus forming a harmonious unit of body, footwear and environment. Because, only when the body reaches maximum performance can it optimally protect against injuries.
uvex bionom x has been developed in collaboration with Dr Caleb Wegener, biomechanics expert from the uvex safety group in Australia. It can be identified on the uvex 3 by looking at the sole. Fine struts run through the sole and support biomechanics. Combined with the large, self-cleaning profile, the uvex 3 has an extremely comfortable fit.
The uvex 3 is rounded off by the special foam in the uvex anklepro, which provides excellent protection for the wearer against painful impacts in the ankle area. Last but not least is uvex lacelock. The locking lace hooks are intentionally mounted on the sides to optimise lacing and significantly increase stability while wearing.
The uvex 3 is also sustainably produced and free from harmful substances according to the banned hazardous substances list. The insole is made of 100% recycled fibres and foam. The uvex 3 is available in three attractive colourways: Black/neon yellow, black/neon orange and pure black.
