Smart hearing protection that "listens with you"

uvex aXess one earmuffs provide protection against loud noise while still allowing the wearer to hear ambient noise. The earmuffs are equipped with smart real active listening (RAL) functionality, which allows the wearer to be aware of their environment even while using hearing protection: For example, they can still react to warning signals or communicate with others in their immediate vicinity. RAL also prevents over-protection in low-noise environments. Numerous features, such as hands-free calling, are effective solutions to improve occupational safety.

Professional hearing protection is essential in many work areas where excessive noise can cause permanent ear damage. With uvex aXess one, uvex has developed a new, innovative hearing protection solution that reliably protects the wearer without blocking out all noise completely.

uvex aXess one are active electronic earmuffs with two external microphones and a voice microphone. Their smart RAL functionality directs ambient noise into the inside of the earmuffs, while a sound level limiter also reduces the volume to protect the wearer's hearing. This makes it feel almost like the wearer is not wearing hearing protection at all: They can still communicate with others and hear warning signals in high-noise environments while knowing their hearing is being protected. 

The volume of the ambient noise can be adjusted to suit individual needs. For safe hearing protection, the maximum output level is limited. The amplifier below the sound level limiter is helpful when adjusting machines or performing diagnostic work, for example.

uvex aXess one can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2, so the wearer can answer calls conveniently by quickly pressing a button directly on the earmuffs — keeping their hands free during calls. The long range means that paired devices such as a mobile phone do not have to be within the work environment — they can be stored in a safe place instead.

Status messages (for example "Bluetooth connected") are shared via a voice announcement, so the earmuffs  never need to be removed in noisy areas. The control buttons are shaped to reflect their function and are easy to feel and operate, even when wearing gloves. The earmuffs can be used in dusty or humid environments thanks to their IP54 protection class. uvex aXess one earmuffs have an ergonomic design and a padded headband to ensure a comfortable fit, even during long periods of use.
