With the uvex 1 sport white NC, uvex has completely redefined the standard occupational shoe, moving away from a purely functional approach to incorporate a trendy design. By doing so, Fürth-based uvex has combined work and leisure: The uvex 1 sport white NC meets all requirements for a functional occupational shoe — and it can be worn outside of professional environments, too. Its fashionable design means it does not look like typical workwear.

Fatigue-free walking and standing

Innovative polyurethane sole technology uvex i-PUREnrj makes this occupational shoe particularly easy to walk in without causing fatigue: With every step, it returns the impact energy to the wearer across the entire sole, providing optimal shock absorption and stability. This provides around a third more cushioning and reduces fatigue by over 20% compared to standard polyurethane soles.

The sophisticated combination of high breathability and water-repellent features ensures a comfortable foot climate, even when the shoe is worn for long shifts: Hot, sweaty feet are a thing of the past.

Sustainability meets style

"With the new uvex 1 sport white NC, we wanted to show that workwear can still look cool — an occupational shoe that is pleasing to the eye is always going to be more popular", explains Stephan List, Product Manager Footwear International at uvex safety group. This sporty shoe has been specially designed for use in applications where hygiene is paramount, so it is ideal for environments such as laboratories, clinics or nursing homes.

The uvex 1 sport white NC is also a sustainable choice. Many parts of the shoe are made from recycled materials: For example, the insole is made from 81% recycled PU foam and 100% recycled fibres. In addition to the use of eco-friendly materials, the manufacturing process for the shoe has an extremely low carbon footprint.
