Positive response for uvex safety at bauma 2025
The construction industry met in Munich and uvex safety was there: the German manufacturer's occupational safety products aroused great interest at bauma 2025, which attracted a record number of visitors.
Around 600,000 visitors from over 200 countries attended the Munich exhibition centre between 7 and 13 April, where 3601 exhibitors from 57 nations presented themselves and their products: bauma 2025 was once again a trade fair of superlatives. The German PPE manufacturer uvex had its stand right in the middle of the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment and is satisfied with the outcome.
‘Those were seven exhausting, but also very productive days for us,’ says Rainer Füger, Sector Manager Construction at the uvex safety group. ‘It's great to see how well our occupational safety range has been received by people. We are also very pleased that our new highlight products are immediately attracting a lot of interest.’
uvex had brought some exciting new products, especially for the feet: In addition to the robust uvex 3 MACSOLE® S3 safety boots with BOA® Fit System and the uvex 3 quatro, the uvex 1 x-cite models were a particular talking point at the stand. The women's safety shoes with a fashionable look will be available from May in three versions: low cut, chelsea boot and lace-up boot. The visitors agreed that the shoes - in addition to their safety features such as toe caps and penetration resistance - are visually appealing and surprisingly light. They are designed for architects and civil engineers, among others, who do not want to constantly change their shoes in the office or on the construction site and are uncompromising in terms of style and safety.
The endurance test of the HexArmor ThornArmor needlestick protection glove was also popular: anyone who put it on could then safely reach into the thorns of a large cactus. From head to toe, uvex presented a harmonious range that has recently been expanded to include the uvex lone worker protection system. This technically smart solution for lone workers was also very well received at bauma.
‘The construction industry has once again proven to be incredibly diverse,’ says Füger. ‘There are very different fields of activity, but they all require reliable occupational safety.’ And uvex provides that.
