Three uvex products win Red Dot Awards

The Red Dot Award is among the world's most prestigious design competitions. Each year, it recognises products that stand out through exceptional design, functionality and innovation. This year, the Germany-based PPE manufacturer impressed the jury with three award-winning products, earning recognition across multiple categories.

The uvex RX cd 5528 was developed for users who rely on prescription safety spectacles. Combining contemporary styling with high standards of protection and comfort, it is designed to meet the demands of everyday working environments. The optional tight-fit kit, featuring a sealing frame and headband, provides an even more secure fit. The jury particularly highlighted the combination of sustainable materials, user-centred comfort and a contemporary appearance.

The uvex OTG plus, designed specifically to be worn over prescription glasses, was also recognised with a Red Dot Award. It offers a wide field of vision, a comfortable fit and versatility across a range of workplace applications. According to the jury, the overspecs stand out in particular for their thoughtful design and exceptional comfort, especially for users with larger prescription frames.

The uvex hypervision protection system, which combines eye and face protection in a flexible solution, also received an award. The system offers a wide field of view and was designed for exceptional comfort, even during extended periods of use. The jury particularly praised the thoughtful design details that make uvex hypervision a reliable solution for everyday work.

With three products receiving awards, uvex is among the companies to have won multiple awards in this year’s competition. The solutions cover various areas of application in eye and face protection and demonstrate different approaches to combining protection, wearer comfort and design.
