uvex pronamic alpine MIPS

Whether working at height or using an industrial safety helmet, the new uvex pronamic alpine MIPS is useful in both cases thanks to its EN 12492 and EN 397 certifications. This highly functional and comfortable safety helmet also features the innovative MIPS safety system, which provides additional head protection in the event of an accident involving rotational movements — for even greater safety in the workplace.

With the uvex pronamic alpine MIPS, uvex has developed a versatile safety helmet that combines the technical requirements of the EN 397 and EN12492 standards in one helmet. The chin strap system is quick and easy to change, allowing the helmet to be effortlessly adapted to different tasks, such as in industrial applications, the construction industry or when working at height.

Even safer than it is comfortable

Thanks to the stepless wheel ratchet system and adjustable suspension harness, the helmet can be optimally adapted to any head shape and is always comfortable to wear — even when worn for long periods of time. The large ventilation openings also contribute to the level of comfort by significantly improving the temperature inside the helmet.

The innovative MIPS system was developed in Sweden and provides additional safety during everyday work. MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and is based on an interior helmet design that allows the head to move within the helmet. MIPS allows around 10–15 millimetres of movement between the helmet and the head, safely deflecting rotational movements that occur as a result of oblique impacts.

The pronamic alpine helmet is available with and without MIPS.

Can be combined with safety spectacles and other PPE

The uvex pronamic alpine MIPS also features a wide range of mounting slots for helmet accessories for even better safety and functionality, allowing equipment such as head torches, goggles and earmuffs to always be "on hand" and ready for use. The standard helmet is suitable for head circumferences between 51 and 63 cm.
