• Not suitable for safety spectacles unless modified, as the tensile strength is otherwise too low. The middle of the lens must be thicker in order to meet the requirements for tensile strength.

Comparison of lens materials

We recommend anti-reflective lenses for work at a monitor. The anti-reflective coating is a metal oxide layer that is applied by means of vapour deposition and ensures a significant reduction in reflections on both sides of the lens. This leads to higher light transmission and improves the visual quality of images. Visual discomfort as a result of reflections is reduced.

Normal anti-reflective coating:
